Located on the borders to France and Germany, next to Basel-Stadt with easy access to the international airport, the national network of expressways as well as railways and the Rhine river, Basel-Landschaft is very well placed to meet the needs of modern businesses today. The canton is home to many chemical, life sciences and logistics companies and its reasonable costs have made it a very attractive location for businesses and for living.

The communities of Pratteln, Muttenz, Reinach, Münchenstein and Allschwil house the principal industrial and business parks in Basel-Landschaft. Here you will find the manufacturing facilities of global corporations like Novartis, Roche, and Clariant, but also very innovative high-tech companies like Endress+Hauser, or the Johnson & Johnson company, Actelion – one of the most rapidly growing bio-pharmaceutical companies worldwide.

Many leading multinationals, including Abbott and Colgate-Palmolive, have chosen Basel-Landschaft as the location for their European divisional offices. Excellent accessibility makes Basel-Landschaft a smart choice as well for logistics companies like Fiege Logistik and Planzer.
