The Japanese conglomerate Yokogawa has established a Swiss subsidiary based at the Switzerland Innovation Park Basel Area. Yokogawa Innovation Switzerland was established in 2020 to explore business opportunities in biotechnology.
Founded more than 100 years ago in Tokyo, Yokogawa developed from a research institute for electric meters into a multinational electric engineering and software company. The main businesses of Yokogawa are industrial automation as well as hard- and software for test and measurement. Today, Yokogawa has subsidiaries in more than 60 countries and is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
