TÜV NORD CERT specializes in the certification of management systems, products and individuals. With the support of the investment and innovation promotion agency Basel Area Business & Innovation, TÜV NORD CERT has now opened an office in Basel. Customers from across Switzerland will in future receive support for auditing and certification processes for management systems from here. Before now, TÜV NORD CERT had been serving Swiss customers from Germany, where the company operates 15 different offices. Now, however, Swiss customers should start to receive the added value they desire from TÜV NORD CERT’s new Basel location.

Basel was chosen for its excellent infrastructure, while another bonus is that several firms with whom TÜV NORD CERT works are already located in the area. “But we were also really impressed with the highly competent and incredibly friendly support from the Basel Area Business & Innovation and its partners”, explains Rudolf Miller, Director of the Basel office, TÜV NORD CERT GmbH. “I think we will fit in nicely here and develop our business further”.

In Basel, seminars and webinars will in future be offered allowing customers to familiarise themselves with the norms and certifications landscape. In this context, the specialist areas of TÜV NORD CERT include, for example, medical product guidelines as well as quality and environmental management, not forgetting the all-important topic of sustainability either. Moreover, the new office will act as a contact partner for all questions Swiss customers might have in relation to the services offered by the TÜV NORD Group as a whole.

Roland Stoffel, managing director and auditor at FIDUCIAM AG, will head up the TÜV NORD CERT office in Basel. He is “very thankful that the Basel Area Business & Innovation brought us together at the time”, while he also commented that he was pleased to help TÜV NORD with the registration in the commercial register and will provide business management support in the future.
